Valley Forge On The Made In America Show

Valley Forge On The Made In America Show

Posted by Samantha on 5th Oct 2022

Our special guest on the Made In America Store Show was Jeff Shaaber of Valley Forge Flag! Valley Forge Flag, based in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, is one of the largest U.S. flag manufacturers.

On our show, we talk with Valley Forge about the difficulty in maintaining a strong labor force. The demand for American made flags is off the charts, and the lack of skilled workers and sewers makes it difficult for Valley Forge to keep up with the increasing demand. Jeff describes it as a game of chasing labor. 99% of the American businesses we have featured on our radio show in the past few years have expressed that their number one issue post-pandemic is the worker shortage.

Also, during the interview, we learn the differences between Nylon and 2-Ply Spun Polyester, two of the fabrics most frequently used in their flags! Did you know that 50% of U.S. flags you find on store shelves are made overseas? That's a disgrace, the symbol of our country should be manufactured here! You can find 100% American manufactured U.S.A. Flags, Military Flags and more from Valley Forge at any Made In America Store location, and online here.

The Made In America Store Show, hosted by Mark Andol and Rob Whalen can be heard live every Saturday at 8:00a.m or you can stream any episode anytime here.
