Gourmet Lollipops On WECK Radio!

The Made In America Store featured The Original Gourmet Food Company on our WECK radio show! The Original Gourmet Food Company has been innovating the sweets and snacks industry since 2000! We recently added their tasty lollipops to our collection of 100% U.S.A. made products!

On our show, we talk with Toni, the VP of Marketing, about the history of the company, and the manufacturing process of their gourmet lollipops. When their first factory opened in Medina, Ohio, the lollipops were hand-deposited. Over the next 11 years, The Original Gourmet Food Company adapted to a unique gravity pouring process and that results in a smooth, shiny outer surface for all of their lollipops! This process also eliminates air bubbles within the lollipops, reducing the risk of breakage.

The Original Gourmet Food Company offers 36 different flavors of lollipops and they’re constantly formulating new ones! Toni explained that their Cotton Candy Lollipop is easily their most popular flavor, and we can confirm! When we debuted the Lollipops at our Erie County Fair display, people were instantly drawn to the Cotton Candy Pink and Blue Lollipop!

During our interview, we talk about how American Manufacturers have been affected by the pandemic. The Original Gourmet Food Company faced material price increases, and worker shortages, but the demand for their candy was there! “We’re in a time where people look for products that make them feel good, a little treat,” said Toni, and The Original Gourmet Lollipop is perfect for that!
