Mark Andol on Main Street Matters

When you walk into a store, do you check the label? Do you flip a product over and see where it’s made?
Most people don’t. But maybe we should.
Because every time you buy Made in America, you’re casting a vote—for jobs, fair wages, and a stronger economy. And every time you buy foreign-made, you’re doing the opposite.
This isn’t just talk—it’s common sense economics, and Mark Andol recently broke it all down on Main Street Matters, a show from Job Creators Network.
Here’s the reality:
- If you don’t like tariffs, buy American.
- If you want to strengthen our economy, support American manufacturers.
- If you want to compete with China, tax the imports.
Mark makes a simple but powerful point: “We have to level the playing field.” American businesses aren’t asking for a handout—they’re asking for fair competition. Right now, foreign manufacturers flood our market with cheap goods, often produced under questionable labor conditions, with fewer regulations and lower quality standards.
But there’s a solution: Consumers can vote with their wallets. Every purchase matters, and choosing Made in America helps bring jobs back home.
That’s only part of the equation, though—because bringing jobs back won’t matter if we don’t have the skilled workforce to fill them.
Across the country, businesses in manufacturing, construction, and skilled trades are struggling to find workers. For too long, young people have been pushed toward four-year degrees while hands-on careers have been overlooked. The reality is, America needs builders, welders, machinists, and manufacturers.
These aren’t just jobs—they’re lifelong, well-paying careers that keep our country running. It’s time to change the outdated mindset that working with your hands is a last resort.
If we want to see Made in America grow, we need to not only support American businesses but also encourage the next generation to be part of it!
