This week’s guest on the Made in America Store Show was Kyle Gross of Our Own Candle Company, a local manufacturer of superior scented mason jar candles! When you shop at the Made In America Store, you will find a variety of their 100% USA made candles.

In our interview, Our Own Candle Company talks about the history of the business. It was the late 90’s when sales manager Kyle and other family members stumbled into the candle game. They had an abundance of lamp shades and were not sure what to do with them, so they decided to search for a high-quality yet affordable candle that the shades could fit onto for us to sell in our retail stores. Long story short, they couldn’t find one, so they decided to make their own!

We also talk with Our Own Candle Company about component shortages, specifically glass! During the pandemic, when everyone was stuck at home, people turned to canning their food. Because of this, Our Own Candle Company’s jar suppliers were short on product because of the skyrocketing demand. So they had to turn elsewhere.
