Just bring your own:
LAWN CHAIRS & ECLIPSE GLASSES and prepare to be WOWED!
According to the Rochester Museum and Science Center/Strasenburgh Planetarium: The moon will begin to cover the sun at 2:04 p.m. More and more of the sun will be covered over the next 1 hour and 10 minutes. This time is called a partial phase. ECLIPSE GLASSES MUST BE WORN!
* Totality begins at about 3:15 p.m. and lasts 3 minutes 45 seconds.
* After totality, the moon gradually uncovers the Sun in a second partial phase. ECLIPSE GLASSES MUST BE WORN!
* The eclipse ends for Buffalo viewers at about 4:30 p.m.
Note: Ophthalmologists suggest waiting for a time before taking the eclipse glasses off for totality, viewing the total eclipse for two minutes or so, then placing the eclipse glasses back on well before the 3 minute 45 second mark of totality ends. This is meant to exercise extra caution to protect your eyes.
