Spring is JUST around the corner and we're bringing in some sunshine with this week's guest: Bob Confer of Confer Plastics!

Confer Plastics manufactures American made plastic products, mostly focused on the pool and spa industry. Pool ladders, staircases, and cabinetry for hot tubs. They also manufacture kayaks and floating docks. Although the "Staycation" lifestyle with COVID-19 has proved to be beneficial for Confer Plastics, the threat of supply chain issues, worker shortages, and inflation have proved to be challenging.

This week we continue to talk about one of the major challenges everyone is facing today: Rapid inflation. The costs of doing business have sky-rocketed, leading to price increases in every industry. The worker shortages, supply shortages, and the cost of supplies increasing all create this momentum of increased prices - This has been something we've been warning about for over 2 years!

We cannot stress how important it is to become more self-sufficient in this economy, and that's why our American made mission is so important. If we didn't need to rely on imported products, we wouldn't have to suffer with such heavy inflation!

On our show, we also cover how Confer Plastics was the original creator of the plastic flexible funnel for the auto industry back in the 1970's, but when the patent ran out, cheaper manufacturers overseas copied the idea and sold it cheaper in the states, eliminating the ability to stay competitive.
