General Welding On This Week's Show

Saturday's episode of the Made In America Store Show featured Josh Price, a top salesmen of our parent company, General Welding & Fabricating! We brought Josh on the show to talk about all of the products and services they have to offer, and their special Erie County Fair pricing on in-stock trailers and snow removal equipment.

Founder & CEO of the Made In America Store, Mark Andol, opened General Welding & Fabricating in 1989 which then supported 10 employees, their motto became “You Dream It, We Build or Repair It”. In 2007, Mark cut the ribbon on a 48,000 sq. ft. addition to the original Elma location. Little did he know that the very accounts that prompted the expansion would be lost to overseas competition, currency manipulation, and the Great Recession. Two multi-million dollar accounts dropped off in the same weekend. One of his clients claimed that he could get similar products cheaper from Florida. But it was a lie. These poor-quality parts were actually manufactured in China.

By 2010, Mark was forced to lay off 40 out of 70 of his employees. Mark’s struggles with General Welding were the driving factors behind the creation of the Made in America Store. Focusing on a mission to save and create American jobs, especially in manufacturing, Mark adopted by a new motto, "For Country, For Soldier, For American Worker and For Our Children's Future". The Made In America Store is now the largest retailer of 100% U.S.A made products, supporting over 500 privately owned American manufacturers!
