Introducing Bates Family Farm

At The Made In America Store, we have always been passionate about sharing the stories behind the brands we carry. It's not just about the products; it's about the people, the journeys, and the passion that goes into making them. This is why we are absolutely thrilled to introduce our newest vendor, Bates Family Farm, LLC, a truly remarkable veteran-owned business based in the scenic Cedar Bluff, Virginia. Their extensive range of 100% USA made products, including body butters, lotions, soaps, and more, all have one thing in common—a star ingredient that sets them apart. This key element is the fresh and wholesome goat milk, lovingly collected from Bates Family Farm's very own dairy herd.

We recently brought their captivating range of Goat Milk Body Budders and Body Lotions to our shelves, each available in over eight enchanting scents, including some delightful holiday fragrances. The timing couldn't have been better as we received these fantastic products right in the midst of the busy tour bus season, and they have been flying off the shelves! Their popularity speaks volumes about the quality and appeal of Bates Family Farm's offerings.

Now, let's dive into the heartwarming story behind Bates Family Farm. During a recent episode of WECK Radio, we had the honor of featuring Joe Bates, the driving force behind this inspiring venture. Joe's journey is nothing short of extraordinary. With over 21 years of dedicated service in the Marine Corps, he decided it was time to retire. However, retirement meant more than just stepping away from the military for Joe; it meant finding a space away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, especially while dealing with the many medical issues.

Joe made the bold decision to relocate his family to this serene and picturesque landscape. His vision was to establish a small goat farm, where he could craft cheese while dealing with his medical issues. The tranquility and solitude of the mountains provided the perfect backdrop for his journey towards healing.

During the radio show, Joe shared with us the incredible transformation of Bates Family Farm, from its humble beginnings to its present-day success. The company first started by showcasing their products at farmers' markets. Over the past 10 years, their growth has been nothing short of phenomenal. From those modest beginnings, they have expanded their reach, and now their products grace the shelves of over 1,000 mom & pop shops across the country.

The story of Bates Family Farm is a testament to dedication, resilience, and the profound love of craftsmanship. It is about a veteran's journey towards healing and a family's commitment to quality and tradition. We are proud to carry their USA made products and to share their incredible journey with you.
